Benjamin Southwell, PhD Candidate

Biography

Benjamin J. Southwell received his Bachelor of Robotic and Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Western Sydney (Honours Class I, University Medal) in 2012. He is currently a PhD. student in electrical engineering at the Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research, The University of New South Wales, AUSTRALIA. He is a part of UNSW’s EC0 CubeSat team and is responsible for the development and operation of the attitude determination and control system, EC0 will be flying as part of the QB50 mission. 

 

Research Interests

His current research interests include remote sensing with reflected Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals and other signals of opportunity using airborne and spaceborne receivers.
