Funding Success: High Altitude Balloon-Borne Radar Project

29 March 2017
Dr Elias Aboutanios was successful in securing EUR 300K for a project on High Altitude Balloon-Borne Radar. The project aims to combine our high-altitude platform capabilities with the synthetic aperture radar expertise at the University of Pisa to build a low-cost, rapidly deployable High-Altitude Platform (HAP) based radar. EUR 163,310 will come to the UNSW node, and EUR 136,690 to the UniP node. This is a great achievement to succeed in a European funding scheme.
